Casting Call: Sarah Jessica Parker’s Post-‘Sex’ Affair

Sarah Jessica Parker lines up her first post-“Sex” partner. Nicolas Cage puts pen to paper in “Ghost.” Plus, a “Desperate Housewife” heads to the big screen! It’s all in the latest edition of the Access Hollywood Casting Call…

Sarah Jessica Parker is in talks to star in the film, “The Ivy Chronicles,” per The Hollywood Reporter.

The film focuses on Ivy Ames, a NYC Upper East Side woman who after losing her job and her husband, must start over in a less-than-ritzy downtown apartment.

After pulling her children out of private school, Ivy launches a business to help upper-middle-class moms get their kids into elite kindergartens.

Prior to “Sex and The City’s” assault on the box office, Parker had signed on to star in the romantic comedy called “The Late Bloomer’s Revolution,” which HBO Films was set to produce with Picturehouse. However, when the production company dissolved, the status of the project was left hanging.

Parker, who played Carrie Bradshaw in the “Sex and The City” franchise, is attached to star in the upcoming comedy “A Family Affair,” about a woman who discovers her one-night stand was her future father-in-law.

Parker’s other recent film credits include “Smart People,” “Failure To Launch” and “The Family Stone.”
