Casting Call: Taylor Swift Gets Animated For Dr. Seuss’ ‘The Lorax’

Taylor Swift is about to become the girl of Zac Efron’s dreams.

The country music powerhouse has joined the cast of Universal’s upcoming 3-D animated feature, “The Lorax,” based on the famous Dr. Seuss children’s book.

Zac has already been lined up to voice the lead character, Ted, the young boy who goes in search of the mysterious tree-loving Lorax.

Taylor will lend her voice to Audrey, the object of Ted’s affection.

As previously reported, Danny DeVito will voice the Lorax, with Ed Helms (voicing the greedy Once-ler) and Betty White (voicing Ted’s grandma) also lending their vocal talents to the film, set for a March 2, 2012 release.

The 21-year-old Taylor made her acting debut in the ensemble romantic comedy “Valentine’s Day” in 2010.

“The Lorax” marks her first venture into animation.

As far as other future projects, she’s been mentioned as a possible star of the sports-based drama “The Throwback,” with Dennis Quaid lined up as the potential lead.
