The comedian will play a schoolteacher who suddenly discovers he has witchlike abilities. Taken in by a coven, he is persuaded to attend a school for witches, only to discover that his classmates are all girls.

Black will also produce.

His upcoming projects include “Margot at the Wedding” - a dramedy starring Nicole Kidman and John Turturo; “Be Kind Rewind” with Danny Glover and Mos Def; and the animated feature “Kung Fu Panda,” where he voices the lead character Po the Panda.

Move over Milo and Masi - a new “Hero” is coming to town.

His other credits include guest spots on “Cold Case,” “Six Feet Under,” “ER” and “Boston Public.”

“Nick is one of the best young actors working today and a perfect fit for Heroes. We think Claire & West will be the couple to watch this Fall,” Dennis Hammer, “Heroes” executive producer, told Access Hollywood.

D’Agosto joins the previously announced Dania Ramirez as a “Heroes” regular.
