Catherine Zeta-Jones Expected To Leave Treatment For Bipolar II Disorder

Catherine Zeta-Jones is expected to be released from her ongoing treatment for Bipolar II disorder.

Husband Michael Douglas, who is in Cannes promoting his upcoming HBO film, “Behind the Candelabra,” spoke out about his wife.

“She comes home tomorrow,” the actor told People on Monday. “She’s doing a really good job of getting balanced.”
Adding, “I’m proud of her.”

Michael also told the mag that his wife is already a big fan of his role as flamboyant piano player Liberace.

“She loves it,” the actor said. “It cracks her up. She thinks it’s a great movie.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, a spokeswoman for the 43-year-old actress said she “proactively” checked into a mental health facility in April.

Her rep also told the Associated Press at the time that Zeta-Jones “is committed to periodic care in order to manage her health in an optimum manner.”
