Cee Lo Green Tardy To Coachella Party; Storms Off Desert Stage

Cee Lo Green may be wishing he could “forget” this weekend’s Coachella performance.

According to CNN, the “Forget You” singer did not arrive on time for his scheduled Friday night set at the annual California desert based music festival. Instead, CNN reported he arrived nearly 30 minutes late, sending music festival organizers into a panic.

The R&B/pop singer was reportedly dissatisfied with his daytime time slot and wasted no time letting the crowd in on his frustration.

“Sorry guys, I just landed. Y’all still gonna party with me? I only have 20 minutes,” he told the waiting crowd, according to USA Today. “It ain’t my fault. They should have… given me a better time slot.”

After performing five of his hit songs, including the “adult” version of his expletive-laden, “F**k You,” as well as his Gnarls Barkley tune, “Crazy,” Cee Lo was reportedly forcibly cut off due to time constraints.

As Cee Lo continued to vent to the crowd, the audio to his mic was abruptly cut off, CNN reported. He reportedly proceeded to put a towel on top of his head and storm off stage, before throwing the towel to the ground.

Lauryn Hill, whose set was pushed back due to Cee Lo’s tardiness, immediately took to the stage to perform a rousing compilation of her hits and left to the sound of enthusiastic cheers.

“We love you,” Lauryn, a five-time Grammy Award winner, told Coachella-goers, CNN reported. “We gotta do this more often.”
