Celine Dion: I Would ‘Love’ To Collaborate With Eminem

Celine Dion has arguably the best voice on the planet today, but she’s not cool enough for her nearly teenaged son.

In a new interview with Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush and Kit Hoover, the superstar revealed she is lacking serious street cred at home.

“I’m not his favorite singer, for sure,” Celine said, with a laugh, when asked if 12-year-old Rene-Charles is aware of her talent and fame. “I’m his favorite mom, though. That’s the main thing.”

Her son (who Celine refers to as RC) is much more impressed with the vocal stylings of Eminem.

Billy suggested Celine should do a song with the “Berzerk” rapper (who made headlines this weekend for an awkward live TV interview on ESPN), to which Celine replied, “I’d love to!”

One saving grace for the singer in her son’s eyes is the fact that her new single, “Loved Me Back To Life,” was written by pop music mastermind Sia Furler.

“When I told [RC] that I was getting ready to do another album and that there’s a new song called ‘Loved Me Back to Life’ and that it was Sia who actually wrote it for me, he said, ‘No way,’” she recounted, laughing. “He couldn’t believe it because I’m not cool, and I’m not Rihanna!

“So he’s like, ‘What?! Sia wrote you a song? That must be a mistake. Like, this is not normal,’” she continued, reenacting RC’s reaction. “’She must not be feeling her best,’ Because she’s so cool, for her to write a song for me? It’s like, thank you, Sia. Maybe this will help us!”

For much more with Celine, tune in to Monday’s Access Hollywood.
