Chace Crawford Taking ‘Twelve’ To Big Screen

Most fans of “Gossip Girl” would say Chace Crawford is a perfect 10.

But now, the actor has been bumped up to “Twelve.”

Chace will star alongside Kiefer Sutherland, Emma Roberts and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson in the movie “Twelve,” according to Variety.

Joel Schumacher will direct the drama, based on Nick McDonnell’s novel of the same name.

The story follows a high school dropout-turned-drug dealer whose lucrative life takes a dramatic turn when his cousin is found brutally murdered on an East Harlem playground and his best friend is arrested for the crime.

Production is slated to begin April 20 in New York.

“Twelve” may not be Chace’s only big screen project in the works – the actor, who plays Nate Archibald on “Gossip Girl” – has also been rumored to be in consideration to take over for Zac Efron in the remake of “Footloose.”
