The new “Magic Mike XXL” trailer is here, complete with shirtless men and a very fitting end card which reads, “You’re Welcome.”
The preview – which “XXL” star Channing Tatum debuted on “The Ellen DeGeneres” show on Wednesday – opens with the sexy actor working in a metal shop to the strains of Ginuwine’s “Pony,” as sparks fly past his toned biceps… and into our hearts.
The rhythm is far too tempting for Channing’s Mike, and he soon abandons the saw to practice his stripper moves (as one does).
Cut to a montage of Channing and the boys (Joe Manganiello, Adam Rodriguez, Matt Bomer, Kevin Nash) grinding on women onstage, and a tragically brief dance scene, featuring six shirtless hunks.
The trailer also introduces “Magic Mike” newbie Amber Heard.
During his appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Channing told the host that – against his better judgment – he got waxed for the sequel.
“I waxed last time and I promised myself I was not gonna do it again. And then Matt Bomer goes ‘No, no you just didn’t have the right lady. She just wasn’t doing it right,’ and then I went again and it sucked just as bad,” he told Ellen. “And then after they started they said ‘Oh no, you’re a ginger!’ — I have like a little red, and they’re like, ‘It’s always the worst for them.’ And I’m like, ‘Then why did you start?! Why didn’t you tell me this beforehand?'”
“Magic Mike XXL” hits theaters on July 1.
