Charlie Hunnam ‘All Smiles’ At Wedding After Fifty Shades Of Grey Exit News

Charlie Hunnam seems to be at peace with his decision to leave Christian Grey behind.

After news of his departure from the “Fifty Shades of Grey” film broke on Saturday, the “Sons of Anarchy” star attended publicist Jennifer Betts wedding in Santa Barbara, Calif., on Saturday evening, according to E! News.

The actor was “all smiles” at the event and even gave a toast to the newlyweds, a source told the website.

Earlier in the day, Universal and Focus Features released a statement revealing that Hunnam had dropped out of “Fifty Shades.”

“The filmmakers of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey,” the statement read.

“Fifty Shades” author E L James hinted at the news on Twitter before the announcement, Tweeting, “Okay girls and boys – hold on to your hats – it’s about to get serious…”

Despite Hunnam’s late exit, James Tweeted that she wished the actor “all the best.”

The “Fifty Shades” film, initially set to hit U.S. theaters in August 2014, will be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, with Dakota Johnson in the lead role of Anastasia Steele.
