Charlie Sheen & Brooke Mueller’s Twins To Remain With Their Mom

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller’s 10-month-old twins will remain with their mother in Aspen for at least a month, according to People.

According to the mag, officials from Pitkin County Social Services visited Mueller and her family in Colorado last week after she called 911 on Sheen on Christmas Day. Following their visit, the child-welfare officials ruled the twins – Bob and Max – were in good hands with their mother and her family.

“The people from the social services agency talked to Brooke, her mom, her step dad and her nanny, and told them that everything looks good and Brooke appears to be an excellent mother,” a source close to Mueller told People.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Sheen was arrested on Christmas Day after he allegedly threatened Mueller.

“My husband had me… with um, with a knife and I’m in fear for my life and he threatened me,” a woman, who identified herself as “Brooke,” said in the 911 call made on December 25.

According to an affidavit released by police, Sheen and Mueller began arguing in the early hours of Christmas Day – at around 3:30 AM, the Associated Press reported.

Mueller reportedly told Sheen she wanted a divorce and said she would get custody of their twin boys, according to the affidavit.
Sheen “became very upset with this threat (of divorce) because of prior experiences,” the affidavit noted.

Sheen, however, denied to police that he choked or threatened his wife with a knife. He reportedly admitted to authorities that the couple is having problems in their marriage and he claimed Mueller abuses alcohol, the AP reported.

Sheen, whose real name is Carlos Estevez, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief. He was released from jail on Christmas night after posting $8,500 bond.

Attorneys for both parties have asked a judge to lift a restraining order against the “Two and a Half Men” star, which forbids the actor from contacting his wife, in hopes the two can reconcile. However, Colorado prosecutors have requested the order remain in place. They did not give a reason for their request.

In the meantime, Bob and Max are staying put with their mother for the foreseeable future.

“Brooke and the twins, Max and Bob, are planning to stay in their rented Aspen house for at least another month. After that they may go to Palm Beach to visit family for awhile,” People’s source added.
