Charlie Sheen ‘Insulted’ Over Nanny Escort Replacement

Charlie Sheen is speaking out over being “escorted” by his ex-wife’s assistant while on a beach outing with his kids Saturday.

The “Two and a Half Men” star has been in an ongoing battle with Denise Richards over visitation rights with daughters Sam, 3, and Lola, 2, since their divorce in November 2006.

The current court-ordered custodial arrangement states that visits between Sheen and his daughters must be supervised, and Richards has the authority to select which nannies accompany them on those visits.

Sheen and his daughters, along with Charlie’s new fiancee, Brooke Mueller, went to the Kids Connection benefit on Saturday at the French Connection Beach House in Malibu. An extra member of their group was Richards’ selected escort, who was reportedly not a nanny, but rather Denise’s assistant.

Sheen reportedly told People on Saturday that the assistant was sent “because a real nanny was unavailable,” and referred to her as one of Richards’ “spies.”

Sheen spoke further on the matter today in a statement to Access Hollywood:

“Until I’m granted the ability to hire my own nanny, she is required to provide one and I was terribly insulted that she felt her ‘assistant’ was a suitable replacement. If it’s unfortunate that I’m speaking, it’s ‘unfortunate’ that an incredibly loving and responsible father and his terrifically capable fiancé [sic] are being subjected to these transparent and unnecessary sanctions, that have nothing to do with responsible co-parenting and everything to do with punishment and control. As long as I am forced to live under these conditions with my children, people are going to hear about it.”
