Charlie Sheen On Lindsay Lohan: ‘People Just Need To Leave Her Alone’

Charlie Sheen has high hopes for Lindsay Lohan as she struggles with her addiction issues.

“I think that she is doing the best that she can,” Charlie told Access Hollywood at the grand opening of Blizz Frozen Yogurt in Sherman Oaks, Calif., on Thursday night. “It’s not easy to begin with, but then you put it under the bright lights of this circus, it makes it that much more difficult.”

The “Two and a Half Men” star urged the public to give the young actress some space.

“People just need to leave her alone and let her do her thing,” Charlie continued. “And, you know, at the end of the day she’ll win.”

Charlie — who was on-hand at the opening to support friend Paul Nassif and his wife, Adrienne Maloof (who will be featured on Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”), who own the store — also gave Access details on daughter Cassandra Jade’s wedding, which took place last weekend in Santa Barbara, Calif.

“It was fabulous. It was just… it was one of the great moments. It’s a moment that you try to imagine when it happens, [but] it’s nothing like you thought it was going to be,” he explained, saying he’s thrilled to have a new son-in-law. “He’s terrific… she’s a terrific gal and we are all thrilled.”

Access also asked about the actor’s dubious nickname, “Teflon Charlie,” which has been bestowed on him due to his knack for getting out of trouble — a nickname which they referenced on the season premiere of “Two and a Half Men.”

“It was a nice little nod,” Charlie said with a smile of his show poking fun at him. “It was a warm hug from my guys saying that, you know, everything is cool. I was happy about that.”
