‘Charlie’s Angels’ Star Minka Kelly Embracing Her Work, Bruises & Bug Bites

They play stylish, rogue crime fighters on the upcoming “Charlie’s Angels,” but for Minka Kelly, Annie Ilonzeh and Rachael Taylor, daredevil work comes with a price.

“You just gotta embrace it and you just look forward to the shower when you get home,” Minka Kelly, who plays “Angel” Eve French, told Access Hollywood during a visit to the show’s set in Miami. “My legs are full now… We’ve had the mosquitoes. I was standing on an anthill yesterday and I have all these special little red ant bug bites on my legs. They’re not cute.”

Minka said she doesn’t mind the scrapes and bug bites one bit.

“I definitely love all my bruises. I earned them and I worked very hard for them and so I’m very proud of them,” she said. “The bigger, the blacker and the more ugly they are, the more proud I am.

“I really love it,” the actress continued. “I love being active and I’m a bit of an adrenaline junkie, so learning how to scuba dive was really exciting for me. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do… Horseback riding, the weapons, the fighting, the driving, I mean, it’s really fun.”

“Charlie’s Angels” are also known for looking fabulous and Rachael told Access they are well taken care of in that respect.

“We have our high fashion moments that we really indulge in and we have this amazing, amazing costume designer and I’ve worn some beautiful clothes — Chloe and Gucci and Prada and [I’m] just wearing the Stella McCartney dress tomorrow which is gorgeous,” she said.

Rachael said fashion blogs may even have a reason to start watching the show, which premieres on September 22 at 8 PM on ABC, closely.

“It’s not the stuff you see on television all the time,” she explained. “We’re definitely trying to be fashion forward and take some risks. I would rather end up on a website for wearing something stupid than wearing something boring,” she noted.
