Chaz Bono To Guest Star As Himself On Degrassi

Chaz Bono is headed back to the small screen.

Following his Season 13 stint on “Dancing with the Stars,” the transgender activist will guest star on an episode of Canadian teen drama “Degrassi,” according to People.

“I work with a transgender teen support group that is part of the organization Transforming Family,” Chaz said, according to the mag. “So when the opportunity to be part of a series that features a trans teen came up, I was thrilled.”

Chaz will play himself on the show, and will perform in a scene with the series’ transgender character Adam Torres (Jordan Todosey).

“Adam’s storyline on ‘Degrassi’ is important to me because it means more transgender representation in the pop culture,” he said. “And it also sends the message to trans teens that they are not alone in their struggles.”

“Degrassi” will return with new episodes for Season 12 on July 16; Chaz’s episode will air in the fall.
