Cher Tweetin’ Angry Over Diane Warren’s ‘Burlesque’ Oscar Snub

Super-songwriter Diane Warren picked up the Golden Globe for Best Original Song for “Burlesque’s” “You Haven’t Seen The Last of Me” earlier this month, but the track was snubbed for a nomination by the Oscars – something that didn’t get past the song’s vocalist – Oscar winner Cher.

“We didn’t get a nomination 4 best song ! That sucks !” Cher Tweeted on Tuesday. “Diane’s song Is so beautiful ! It’s hard to understand how u win The Golden Globe 4 BEST SONG & not even get nominated by the OSCARS? Oh well it is..what it is ,,,,the sun is still shining.”

After standing up for her pal, the diva said she was criticized by someone, something the singer did not take kindly to… at all.

“Some A.H. Said ‘Cher Gripes about not getting nominated 4 ‘U haven’t seen the last of me ‘,” Cher Tweeted, recounting the online altercation.

“To Say to me …. ‘Excuse me CHER …. would you like some Cheese to go With that Whine? & SO Whatever your name is … Up Yours Dude ! xxxxCHER,” she wrote.

Cher got a little saucier on her next Tweet.

“Whatever Your Name Is?? It is With TOTAL Disregard & Complete Lack Of respect ….. That i Wish u Goodnight & Goodf**luck,” she wrote.

While Diane’s song, performed by Cher, didn’t receive a Best Original Song Oscar nomination, the tunes that did were “Coming Home” from the Gwyneth Paltrow film “Country Strong,” “I See The Light” from the animated Disney animated film “Tangled,” “If I Rise” from the James Franco movie “127 Hours,” and “We Belong Together” from “Toy Story 3,” the newest Randy Newman classic.
