Cheryl Burke Leaving ‘Dancing With The Stars’

After months of speculation (and many hints from the dancer herself), it’s official – Cheryl Burke’s “Dancing with the Stars” days are over.

Cheryl – whose “DWTS” contract expired after Tuesday night’s finale – will not return to the ABC reality competition show, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

“Cheryl has been on the show for close to 10 years,” “DWTS” executive producer Rob Wade told The Wrap. “She has done a great service to the show and I think she feels that it’s time for her to move on.”

Wade said that while the show is sad to lose the two-time mirrorball champ, change is good when it comes to keeping the show fresh.

“We’ll only survive as a show if we keep innovating and changing. It’s very sad to see cast members leave, but again that gives you the opportunity to grow,” Wade told the website. “So, I’m quite positive about having the opportunity to bring new people in or bring back some of the old faces.”

In additional “DWTS” news, new judge (and former dance pro) Julianne Hough will return for Season 20, as will Len Goodman.
