Cheryl Burke Reveals Cyber-Bullying Pain, Slams Lip Injection Rumors

Cheryl Burke was criticized for being too curvy when she appeared on the first season of “Dancing with the Stars.”

Now, after posting a photo of herself on vacation in Cabo, a social media firestorm erupted shaming Cheryl for being too thin!

“An innocent picture of me posting a selfie like this, and naturally my collarbones are going to come out and people just went crazy,” Cheryl told Access Hollywood’s Kit Hoover on Wednesday.

“People are saying ‘What have you done to your face?’, ‘You look disgusting, you look like you’re dying,'” Cheryl said of the comments posted on her photo.

Cheryl said that although she tries to not let the insults bother her, it’s easier said than done.

“It really just messes with your head, honestly!” she told Kit. “It’s just amazing to me to see that people can be so cruel.”

The 30-year-old dancer – who recently shed 25 pounds using exercise and healthy eating – said she has not cosmetically altered her face, and has not had lip injections.

“I seriously have had no plastic surgery,” she said. “I used to get bullied as a kid for having big ears and big lips and they would call me ‘monkey face,’ so I’m always had the big lips.”

The constant scrutiny of her weight has led Cheryl to be overly critical of her body.

“It’s something I’ll constantly be aware of,” she said. “I do constantly look in the mirror like, ‘OMG, I’ve got a fat roll here!’ Or, ‘Am I skinny enough?’ Or, ‘Am I fit enough?’

“Now I just have to let it go,” she continued. “As long as I’m healthy that’s all that matters.”
