Chris Brown Announces ‘Fan Appreciation’ Tour

Chris Brown is hitting the road – and he’s doing it for the fans.

The embattled pop star will head out on a 19-city “Fan Appreciation” tour, beginning in November, the singer’s label, Jive Records, announced on Tuesday.

In an effort to “acknowledge and thank his fans for their on-going support,” Brown will kickoff his tour on November 14 in Houston, Texas before wrapping up on December 15 in New York City.

Other stops include Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, Orlando, Boston and Philadelphia, among others.

A portion of the proceeds from the tour will be donated to Best Buddies International, according to Jive’s press release.

“While on tour, Chris plans to visit with Best Buddies participants, as well as encourage his fans to consider volunteering their time to work with those in their own communities who have intellectual and developmental disabilities,” the release stated.

The tour comes after Brown’s return to the stage on October 27, where he will headline Power 105.1’s Powerhouse ’09 concert at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

It will mark his first major concert since pleading guilty to one count of felony assault in connection with his attack on ex-girlfriend Rihanna in February.
