Chris Brown is ready to speak out for the first time since the February 8 incident where he assaulted his then-girlfriend, Rihanna.

The 20-year-old singer spoke with Larry King on CNN’s “Larry King Live” on Wednesday in an interview slated to air on September 2 at 9 PM EDT.

Brown’s mother, Joyce Hawkins, and attorney Mark Geragos will also appear during the hour-long talk.

Earlier this week, Brown was sentenced to five years probation, 180 days of community labor and 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling for assaulting the “Take A Bow” singer. He has also been order to not have any contact with Rihanna for the entire five years of his probation.
