Chris Brown Reportedly Has Violent Outburst At ‘Good Morning America’ Following Questions About Rihanna Assault

Chris Brown reportedly smashed a window and stormed out of ABC’s “Good Morning America” Times Square studio in New York City following an interview during which he was asked about his 2009 assault upon former girlfriend Rihanna and the status of his probation, according to online sources.

“Have you seen each other, been around each other?” “GMA” co-anchor Robin Roberts asked the singer.

“I mean, I mean not really. It’s not really a big deal to me now, as far as that situation. I think I’m past that in my life and I think today is the album day, so that’s what I’m focusing on,” Brown said, in an appearance to promote his new album, “F.A.M.E.”
Roberts then asked Brown about the meaning behind his album title.

“Forgiving all my enemies,” he replied. “And definitely fans are my everything, being able to go through everything I went through and show my fans that I love them, you know? That’s what it is, fans are my everything.”

“When you say forgive all your enemies, who do you consider your enemies?” Roberts asked.

“Just anybody, naysayers, haters, whatever the case may be. I just think being positive and promoting is what I’m about now. So, that’s what I’m going to do,” Brown said.

According to TMZ, Brown reportedly returned to his dressing room following the interview and began to scream. ABC News pointed out that the reported outburst also followed the performance of his single “Yeah 3x,” which in turn followed the interview.

A source told TMZ that Brown then broke the dressing room window and glass fell on the street outside of the studio. ABC security reportedly said the window was broken with a chair.

ABC News reported the show’s hair and makeup staff called security after hearing noise coming from Brown’s dressing room and that the broken window was not discovered until after the singer and his team had left the building.

Prior to leaving the building, Brown was seen backstage at “GMA” without his shirt on, ABC reported. He was also photographed outside of the studio shirtless.

TMZ reported that Brown had a verbal confrontation with a “GMA” producer as he left the building, which was reportedly diffused by other “GMA” staff members.

According to TMZ, Roberts and “GMA” staff members claim they asked Brown if he would answer questions about the Rihanna incident prior to the interview and he approved.

Roberts reportedly insisted both she and other “GMA” staff members spoke with Chris before the interview and asked if it would be OK to fire off “a few questions” about the Rihanna incident … and Chris approved

Following the reported incident, Brown took to his Twitter, writing, “All my fans!!! This album is for you and only you!!! I’m so tired of everyone else!! Honestly!! I love team breezy!!”

He also wrote, in a Tweet that has since been removed, “I’m so over people bringing this past sh** up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bullsh**!”

Another Tweet followed, “Thank you to everyone who supports my music!!! Key
Word ( music) !!! Love y’all”

Roberts also Tweeted on Tuesday, writing, “Sure has been an interesting AM @GMA. Still sorting thru everything myself. Just my 2nd day on twitter, wonder what tomorrow will bring?”

When contacted by Access Hollywood, reps for Brown said they would be in touch shortly.

ABC News released a statement following the incident: “As always, we ask questions that are relevant and newsworthy, and that’s what we did in this interview with Mr. Brown.”

The singer is currently serving five years of probation for assaulting Rihanna in February 2009 after a pre-Grammy Awards party.
