Chris Colfer In Talks To Bring Bestseller ‘The Land of Stories’ To The Big Screen

Chris Colfer’s time on “Glee” is coming to an end, but the actor/bestselling author appears to have a possible future on the big screen with his popular book series, “The Land of Stories.”

The 24-year-old visited Access Hollywood Live on Wednesday and told Billy Bush and guest co-host Jack Osbourne that his series could make its way to theaters.

“I’m starting to have those film conversations. I’m a little more open-minded to it,” he said when asked if his bestsellers will ever become movies.

“When I first started the series, I was completely against doing a movie and how movies are seen as conclusions to book series. I think they should be continuations,” he explained. “I was completely against it. I always said I would rather it be a good book that hundred people read, than an awful movie which a thousand people see.”

But it appears the demand of his devoted fans has had an effect on the actor/author.

“The readers want to see the world alive so much. Who am I to deny that of them?” Chris continued, explaining that he sees the project possibly becoming a “live action” movie.
