Chris Daughtry To Sing National Anthem At Last World Series Game; David Nail Will Also Perform

“American Idol” alum Chris Daughtry will sing the national anthem at the final World Series game.

The lead singer of the band Daughtry will perform Friday night at Game 7 between the Texas Rangers and the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.

Grammy-nominated country singer David Nail will sing “God Bless America” before the game. It will air on Fox.

Former World Series pitchers for the Cardinals will hit the field, too: Bob Forsch will throw ceremonial first pitch, and Joe Magrane will deliver the official game ball.

The Cardinals won Game 6 in dramatic fashion Thursday night, coming from behind to win 10-9 in extra innings.

Other series singers have included Zooey Deschanel and recent “Idol” winner Scotty McCreery.
