Points to Chris Hardwick! The “@midnight” host is engaged to publishing heiress Lydia Hearst.
The Nerdist CEO, 43, shared a photo on Saturday of the ring he presented to Lydia, 30, during his romantic proposal at the Chateau Marmont. It should have looked familiar to his now-fiancee – the square-cut diamond stunner is a family treasure passed down from the model’s grandmother, Catherine Hearst, wife of legendary newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst.
“IT’S OFFICIAL!!! What an absolutely perfect and amazing night!! I love this woman with all my heart,” Chris captioned the up-close snap.

He told his Instagram followers on Sunday that Lydia had “no idea” what was in store, and joked that the moment was so emotional he was “surprised a Rachel McAdams movie didn’t break out around it.”
The engagement wasn’t his only happy news to celebrate. Just hours earlier, Chris and his “@midnight” colleagues took home a Creative Arts Emmy for Best Social TV Experience.

To Chris, though, his “biggest win of the night” was his future bride, and she returned the sentiment with a sweet announcement of her own.
“I said YES!!!!!!” Lydia wrote on Instagram on Saturday, alongside a gorgeous snap of the couple in a passionate embrace atop Hearst Castle. “Every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favorite. You completely swept me off my feet. You have shown me what it feels like to be loved and I love you with all my heart. My life is better because you are in it @nerdist.”
Chris and Lydia first stepped out publicly together at the GQ Men of the Year party in December. The “Talking Dead” host said on Instagram on Sunday that their upcoming nuptials will likely be “the only Hearst wedding whose registry includes @thinkgeek.”
