Chris Hemsworth Gushes Over Wife Elsa Pataky: She’s The ‘Best Thing I’ve Got’ From Hollywood

Chris Hemsworth is wealthy and famous, but the actor said those perks pale in comparison to one thing he received after to moving to Hollywood: love!

In a speech at the G’Day USA Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, the 31-year-old Aussie hunk said his wife, Elsa Pataky, tops the list of reasons he’s glad he came to the City of Angels.

“The best thing I’ve got from coming to L.A. was meeting my wife – who is actually from Spain and who was lured here by Hollywood – and who I love very much,” the “Thor” star said, while accepting the award for excellence in film. “And that is the greatest thing over the last few years. So, thank you, everyone, but especially my wife.”

Elsa, 38, who gave birth to the couple’s twin sons Sasha and Tristan in March 2014, cheered on her husband from the audience, as his “Avengers” co-star Scarlett Johansson presented him with the award – and heaps of praise!

“Chris Hemsworth is one of those actors who comes along once in a blue moon, or, according to my mom, never before. He’s all at once sensitive and ferocious, otherworldly and grounded,” Scarlett said. “He’s shockingly handsome and surprisingly approachable. He is every man and like no man you’ve ever met before.”

Chris and Scarlett will be back on the big when “Avengers: Age of Ultron” hits theaters on May 1.
