Chris Hemsworth’s ‘Vacation’ Bulge: All The Details You Know You Wanna Know

Chris Hemsworth’s “Vacation” bulge is the movie moment you most want to see at the movies this summer – and don’t act like it’s not!

Access Hollywood got the lowdown on all that hangs low (please refer to the trailer!) with Chris’ comedic turn in the reboot.

“There was a lot of conversation about what’s funny [and] when does it go from funny to horrifying?” star Ed Helms said of the film’s creative team deciding on how far to go with Chris’ blessed bulge.

“I wasn’t part of those discussions. I happened to think they nailed it. Whatever it it’s, it’s exactly what it should be!” he continued.

The actor warned that there’s more to the obvious thing you’re staring at.

“That scene with the underwear sight gag, I think people look at that and kind of quickly assume, ‘Oh it’s funny because of the underwear sight gag.’ But it’s not, that’s not why it’s funny. It’s funny because of Chris’ performance,” he explained.

Looking past Chris’ crotch zone, just try – we know it’s not easy, the actor’s co-stars said fans will see a whole new side of the “Thor” star.

“I actually think he stole every scene he was in. The very first day we shot with Chris, he and Leslie [Mann] come out the front door of that mansion. And he was like pulling up his jeans and he did this thing. And I was like, ‘Oh crap, he’s got this’…he’s dialed in man. He is so fantastic.’ And from there he just continued to be amazing and amazing to watch,” Christina Applegate told Access.

Ed, like the rest of us, wants to see Chris continue to make people laugh.

“I could barely make it through filming [the underwear scene],” Ed said. “I hope we see him do a lot more comedy.”

Luckily for Ed, and the rest of us, after “Vacation” opens on July 29, the actor will continue with comedy in the all-female “Ghostbusters” reboot in 2016.
