Chris Medina Reveals He Wasn’t Invited To ‘American Idol’ Season Finale

Chris Medina brought Jennifer Lopez to tears when he was cut from “American Idol’s” Season 10 before the live rounds began, but the young man just revealed he won’t be attending the show’s finale next week.

“Just found out I will not be at the finale for #AmericanIdol sad and disappointed,” Chris Tweeted on Tuesday.

The singer’s audition and dedication to his fiancée Juliana, whose story of being left with traumatic brain injuries following a car accident, may have impacted thousands, but when asked why he wasn’t going to the two-night finale by a fan on the social networking site, Chris admitted he was not invited.

“not asked. Then I asked for tickets and I [was] told they can’t. No harsh feelings,” he wrote.

Late Tuesday night, Chris followed up his earlier Tweets, again noting he wasn’t angry over the lack of tickets.

“Just want to let everyone know including #americanidol that I truly do not have bad feelings toward the show. They have helped me more… than anyone will ever know,” he wrote. “They created the opportunity to do what I love to help the person I love. I was simply… disappointed. I never felt nor will I feel cheated. Love everyone.”

After his earlier Tweets were picked up by the media, Chris further attempted to explain that he didn’t feel snubbed by “Idol.”

“my tweet about being disappointed made headlines on yahoo.com and I don’t want Idol or anyone to get the wrong impression,” he wrote. “they quoted me perfectly. It’s just reading back … I wanted to be extra clear and not leave any room for interpretation!”

FOX had no comment when contacted by Access Hollywood on why Chris wasn’t invited to the finale Wednesday.

The final three remaining “Idol” contestants – Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina and Haley Reinhart — perform on Wednesday night, with the final two announced on Thursday. Next week, “American Idol” will wrap up its Season 10 with a two-night finale on FOX.
