Chrissy Teigen Slams Body Shamers After Sharing First Baby Bump Photo

Chrissy Teigen has shared her first – and potentially last –
pregnancy photo.

The supermodel announced on Oct. 12 that she and husband
John Legend are expecting, and took to Instagram just days later to reveal the
visible evidence.

“Somebody is early to the party,” Chrissy
captioned a mirror selfie on Sunday, showing off her budding belly in a black
maxi dress.

Many fans chimed in to offer well wishes, but a few negative
comments shaming Chrissy’s appearance also popped up on social media. The
29-year-old didn’t take kindly to the mean-spirited remarks and addressed them
on her Twitter feed.

“Good thing I am unoffendable or this would be a rough
few months,” she wrote, later targeting specific comments that she looked
like she was having twins, or, as one follower said, “probably
triplets.”

“I did IVF. One at a time. It isn’t twins,”
Chrissy responded. “I can see the damn thing. Get out of my uterus!”

Prior to sharing their happy news, the TV personality and
her musician hubby were open about their struggles to conceive. Chrissy said in
an episode of “FABLife” in September that they devoted considerable
time and effort into starting a family.

“John
and I were having trouble. We would have had kids five, six years ago if it
happened,” she said. “But my gosh, it’s been a process.”

Chrissy
went on to say that she and John visited fertility doctors, and also felt
increasing pressure to have children after getting married in 2013. She referred
to their journey once again in her pregnancy announcement.

“As
many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t
been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child
into the world and grow our family,” Chrissy wrote. “We’re so excited
that it’s finally happening.”

Despite her past transparency, Chrissy
Tweeted on Sunday that the malicious feedback she’d received following Sunday’s
photo may mean she’ll keep the rest of her pregnancy away from the public eye –
or at least off of social media.

“No
more preg tweeting for me, lesson learned!! Back to food and reality TV,” she wrote.
