Christina Aguilera Issues Statement Over Split With Husband Jordan Bratman

Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman have split, a source has confirmed to Access Hollywood.

However, Christina and Jordan have not yet decided whether or not to file for divorce, the source added.

In addition, the source confirmed the couple has actually been separated for a few months.

A rep for Christina released the following statement to Access Hollywood on Tuesday, on behalf of the singer:

“Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever.”

The Grammy winning pop diva and the music executive began dating in 2002, before announcing their engagement in February 2005. In November 2005, they tied the knot in a wedding ceremony in Napa Valley – the first marriage for both.

Christina and Jordan have one child together – son Max, who was born in January 2008.

Us Weekly was the first to report news of the split.

Christina’s latest project will see her on the big screen starring alongside Cher, Kristin Bell, Stanley Tucci, Eric Dane, Julianne Hough and more in “Burlesque,” opening on November 24.

It’s the third celebrity couple split reported in the last two days.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, on Monday, Courteney Cox and David Arquette issued a joint statement announcing their separation. Also, Ben Harper’s split from Laura Dern became public when he reportedly served her with divorce papers on Monday.
