Christina Aguilera Weighs In On ‘The Voice’ Banter With Adam Levine: Super Competitive Or Just Fun?

Christina Aguilera said there’s no bad blood between herself and her fellow “The Voice” judges, including Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, who she suggested last night might lose control of his bladder after a performance from singer Beverly McClellan.

“It’s part of the fun, it’s part of the game and in the end, we all believe in our team and, of course, we’re going to defend them to the death,” she told Access Hollywood after “The Voice” aired. “It’s just funny. I have a lot of fun with the guys. They are hilarious, but need to be put in their place.”

On Tuesday night’s live show, the first for the freshman NBC reality singing competition, Blake Shelton’s final four competed against Christina’s all-female team, and the pop powerhouse said she had nothing but praise for her girls.

“I can’t be more proud of them,” Christina said. “Everybody took my notes into consideration and they did such a good job. They brought it to the table. It’s a hard thing to go up there as a performer under nerves, under the competition factor, and the real performer in them shone tonight.”

Blake admitted he was proud of his team’s diversity – country singer Patrick Thomas, jazzy vocalist Xenia, indie-pop singer Dia Frampton and rocker Jared Blake.

“I’m confident in my four finalists — every one of them. There’s nobody alike on my team and I was watching it today, we did some dress rehearsals and everybody [is] so different,” he said.

One of Blake’s vocalists, Patrick, actually stood out to Christina. After his performance last night, she commented on the young man’s good looks and said she wanted to see him take off his pants.

“I told her off camera afterwards I said, ‘You’re really going to have to stop this.’ I said, ‘One time is a fluke, two times is going on a pattern, if this happens again I’m going to start flirting with you,’” Patrick laughed.
