Chuck Lorre Confirms Angus T. Jones Will Be Back On Two And A Half Men

“Two and a Half Men” executive producer Chuck Lorre said Angus T. Jones is expected to appear occasionally on the CBS sitcom when it returns this fall.

“Angus is going to college in the fall, which is, I think, wonderful, which is appropriate, and he’ll be on the show as available around his college schedule,” Lorre told Access Hollywood at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival last week in Monaco.

Lorre said the timing is right for Jones to go to college, but they do want him on the show.

“He’s been on the show since [he was] 9 years old. He’s 19,” the EP said. “I think he should be able to do both — explore college at this point in his life and when he’s on a break, we’ll try and scoop him up and put him on the show every chance we get.”

Lorre added of Jones, “He’s a great kid. He’s a great young man.”

According to a May item on Deadline, there are plans to cast a new female character – Charlie Harper’s daughter (Charlie Sheen’s old character) – and add her into the mix. At the time, the news prompted speculation about Jones’ future with the show.
