Claire Danes’ Golden Globes Double Duty: Breastfeeding & Acceptance Speeches!

As if walking the red carpet at one of Hollywood’s biggest nights wasn’t enough pressure, “Homeland” star Claire Danes did it – with serious style – less than a month after giving birth to son Cyrus.

“I’m a little delirious. I just had a baby, he’s going to be a month old as of tomorrow,” the actress, who took home the statue for Best Actress in a TV Drama Series on Sunday night, told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush on the red carpet.

”[Cyrus] is doing really well. He’s upstairs with my parents, this is their first time babysitting,” the new mom, who is married to fellow actor Hugh Dancy, continued. “It’s very startling, to find myself on a red carpet, I’ve been in sweatpants for a while.”

And after walking the red carpet – in a stunning red Versace gown – the first-time mom was going to fit in some important time with her newborn.

“I’m going to feed him after the red carpet and then go to the ceremony,” she told Billy. “We’re timing it out very carefully.”

“Is the dress bolstered and ready to go? there’s TV cameras everywhere, and sometimes when we’re nursing? ” Billy asked, wondering if she was worried about any possible new mom embarrassing moments or awkward photo ops.

“We’ve taken precautionary measures,” she said referring to breastfeeding and her gown.
