Clooney Talks DeVito With Matt Lauer On Today Show

George Clooney has spoken out about his all-nighter with pal Danny DeVito.

DeVito made headlines earlier this week when he appeared inebriated on television chat show “The View.” He credited his state to a night on the sauce with George and on Monday’s “Today” show, Clooney himself finally weighs in on the eventful eve.

“Um, we were doing shots of Limoncello and that’s all I can really say on the subject,” Clooney tells NBC’s Matt Lauer.

The “Good German” actor says he too felt the results of his night out with Danny — turning up to his own TV appearance the following day a little worse for wear.

“I had to do uh, uh ‘Regis & Kelly’ the next day and I was pretty, pretty hung over as well,” he admits.

As it turns out George may be to blame for Danny’s inebriation. While Danny was knocking back glasses, Clooney admits using his to water the foliage.

“I got to the point where I was dumping the shots into, ah you know, a plant next to me,” he tells Lauer in the interview. “I don’t think Danny saw me do that.”

“It was a brutal night,” he added.
