Fans of “How I Met Your Mother” finally saw the reveal of Barney’s (Neil Patrick Harris) bride-to-be at the conclusion of Season 7 in the form of, none other than, Cobie Smulders’ character, Robin Scherbatsky.
But with the curtain falling on Season 7 before the “I do’s,” where will the upcoming Season 8 begin?
“We’re picking up right where we left off,” Cobie revealed to Access Hollywood Live’s Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Tuesday morning.
However, don’t expect to hear wedding bells in the season premiere – or, potentially, anytime soon on the show.
“We have a very weird timeframe. The wedding takes place at the end of this season,” Cobie added.
In fact, early on Season 8 (which takes place chronologically prior to the wedding with Barney) Robin will have her eye on another man.
“When this season begins, I’m dating Michael Trucco,” she noted, of the “Battlestar Galactica” alum whose guest spot was announced earlier this summer.
Trucco’s character actually appeared on the show in Season 6 as someone who caught Robin’s eye, simply referred to at the time as “Crush.”
“I like to date a lot of people – Robin gets around,” the TV bombshell joked.
But the Barney/Robin wedding will happen… right?
“Our show is very mysterious and we like to keep it that way – even for people who work on it! So I don’t really know. I think that they’re intending to get married. I don’t know what’s going to happen,” Cobie admitted.
Season 8 of “How I Met Your Mother” premieres September 24 on CBS.
