Comic-Con: 5 Things That Happened, 5 Things That Didn’t

Comic-Con 2014 is a mere memory in the heads of nerds, fans and stars who descended upon San Diego over the weekend.

The Con had plenty of major news and also some letdowns. AccessHollywood.com runs down things we learned and things we wish we had, but sadly didn’t!

Wonder Woman Debuts!: The highly anticipated first look at Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman (See her costume!) from “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” debuted and fans appear to be loving director Zack Snyder’s dark take on the Amazon warrior princess!

More Rocket & Groot!: “Guardians of the Galaxy” doesn’t open until Friday, but Marvel announced more space adventures for Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Groot and Rocket – slated to hit theaters July 28, 2017.

Ultron Will Be Trouble For The Avengers: If fans thought Loki was bad news, concept art and a trailer for “Avengers: Age of Ultron” point to some serious carnage for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. We’ll find out on May 1, 2015!

More Giant Lizard!: Legendary Pictures is working on a sequel to “Godzilla,” where the sometimes-good guy monster will battle fan-favorites bad guy monsters Mothra and Rodan!

The Con Is Not Just For Movies: “The Walking Dead” debuted the first trailer for Season 5 (Watch the trailer!) and things are looking as grim and complicated as ever for Rick and the gang! The new season kicks off on Sunday, October 12 at 9 PM.

And five things we hoped would happen at Comic-Con, but didn’t:

No Major “Star Wars” News: We dreamed of seeing “Episode VII” actors on stage wielding lightsabers, but nothing! Not even Jar Jar showed up – maybe next year!?

No More Justice League Announcements: Seeing Wonder Woman was great, but it would have been ever more exciting to see Aquaman or find out who Dwayne Johnson is playing in the DC Universe.

Not Strange Enough: Rumors have been swirling about Marvel’s casting for the planned “Dr. Strange” movie, with Joaquin Phoenix reportedly being eyed, but his identity still remains a mystery!

It Could Have Been A Little More “Fantastic”: We hoped that Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara, Miles Teller and Jamie Bell would make their debut at Con for Josh Trank’s “Fantastic Four” reboot, but sadly we’ll just have to wait to see this foursome.

No “Jurassic World” Footage: Fans were teased with a poster for the upcoming “Jurassic World,” but footage of the dinosaur-filled sequel has yet to be resurrected from extinction for fans!
