After weeks of rumors and speculation, it’s official — Halle Berry and French actor Olivier Martinez are engaged.
A rep for the Oscar winner confirmed the news to Access Hollywood on Monday morning.
Over the weekend, Olivier himself was reportedly first to confirm the news, following widespread rumors the two were set to walk down the aisle.

According to the Miami Herald, while in Florida to promote the opening of his restaurant, Villa Azur, over the weekend, he said of the engagement rumors, “Yes, of course it’s true.”
Olivier reportedly also clarified reports about the engagement ring, allegedly saying, “There is a jeweler taking credit for doing the ring and it’s a lie! They have nothing to do with this.”
Olivier added that the ring was actually designed by legendary Parisian jeweler Robert Mazlo, who the actor described as “a real artist,” whose family has been designing jewelry “for kings and queens for many centuries.”
The impending union will be Halle’s third marriage.

The 45-year-old actress – who has a 3-year-old daughter, Nahla, with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry – was married to baseball star David Justice in 1993 and split four years later. She then wed singer Eric Benet in 2001 and they finalized their divorce in 2005.
Olivier previously dated singer Kylie Minogue and split with the pop star in 2007.
