Connie Britton Joins ‘American Crime Story’ As Faye Resnick

Connie Britton is the latest star to join the cast of “American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.”

Writer/director Ryan Murphy gleefully broke news on Monday that the “Nashville” star had been cast in the role of Faye Resnick.

“Excited to announce my friend Connie Britton will play Faye Resnick in the upcoming FX miniseries The People v. O.J. Simpson,” he Tweeted.

She previously worked with Ryan and Brad Falchuk on “American Horror Story” in 2011.

Faye was connected to the court case because she was a friend of the late Nicole Brown Simpson. The interior designer and Playboy model co-wrote two books about the murder, “Shattered: In the Eye of the Storm” and “Nicole Brown Simpson: The Private Diary of a Life Interrupted.”

Reality TV fans may recognize Faye from episodes of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and Kris Jenner’s friend in this season’s premiere of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

Cuba Gooding Jr. (O.J. Simpson), Sarah Paulson (Marcia Clark), David Schwimmer (Robert Kardashian), John Travolta (Robert Shapiro) and Courtney B. Vance (Johnnie Cochran) round out the cast so far. The upcoming 10-part miniseries is based on the book “The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson by Jeffrey Toobin.
