Corinne Foxx Named Miss Golden Globe 2016

Corinne
Foxx, the daughter of Jamie Foxx, has been named Miss Golden Globe 2016.

“Throughout
the years I’ve grown up watching my dad establish himself as a well-respected
actor,” Corinne said in a statement. “I’m honored that HFPA has given
me the opportunity to now share the same stage where he’s been recognized for
some of his greatest accomplishments.”

The
HFPA traditionally chooses the son or daughter of a respected member of the
industry to help with the Golden Globe Awards ceremony. Corinne, a senior at
the University of Southern California, will take to the stage to assist during
the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards, airing live on NBC on January
10 at 8 PM ET, 5 PM PT.

“We are delighted
to have Corinne Foxx continue the tradition and have her as our 2016 Miss
Golden Globe,” HFPA President Lorenzo Soria said in a statement. “Like her
father, she leads a fine example of following her dreams and we can’t wait to
see what she does next.

In 2015,
Kelsey Grammer’s daughter, Greer Grammer, held the honor. Francesca Eastwood,
Rumer Willis, Joely Fisher, and Dakota Johnson have all served as Miss Golden
Globe.
