Could Sheen Be Headed Back To ‘Men’? Actor Trying To Set Up A Pow-Wow With CBS Chief

Don’t count Charlie Sheen out of “Two and a Half Men” just yet. Behind the scenes negotiations may soon be underway over the future of the CBS hit.

A source told Access Hollywood that Sheen made contact with CBS CEO Leslie Moonves to try and set up a meeting for this Saturday, to save his job, a move predicted on Monday when Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush sat down with the star.

“How about calling Les and saying ‘Les, why don’t you broker this?’ because if I’m Les, I would say, ‘[show co-creator] Chuck [Lorre], Sheen, get in here,’” Bush suggested.

“OK, why hasn’t that happened?” Sheen responded. “That seems like an obvious move.”

“Why hasn’t that happened?” Bush asked.

“Seems like an obvious move and it hasn’t happened. I don’t know. I don’t know which is why this whole thing has just been… it’s a little bit confusing,” Sheen said.

Beyond his loss of work, Sheen’s children, twins Bob and Max, were taken away from him on Tuesday night.

The boys are with soon-to-be ex-Brooke Mueller, who continues in outpatient rehab treatment.

In the restraining order request she filed two days ago, Mueller admitted to falling off the wagon, but said she will have help taking care of the boys from her mother and nannies. Mueller plans to care for the children during her four-hour-a-day break from rehab and in the evenings.

Mueller also said she’ll have a sober companion with her, her mother and the nannies.

Sheen, while taking another drug test for Radar Online, said he doesn’t have much faith in Mueller’s sobriety.

“Yeah ‘cause Brooke’s going to be doing a whole lot of these,” Sheen said. “And I’ll match her test for test… I’ll beat her test for test. She ain’t clean.”

Sheen told Bush on Thursday that he reached a verbal deal with Mueller, which means no court on Monday over custody of the kids.

But which living situation is better for Bob and Max? Sheen’s interviews have worried some, and a psychiatrist, Dr. David Sack, CEO of Promises, who is not currently treating Sheen, told Access Hollywood that lethal dosages of crack-cocaine could cause severe brain damage.

The doctor said that the after-effects can leave the drug user “wired” for weeks, but once they return to a normal mental state, they often have regrets and apologies about their recent behavior.
