Courteney Cox & David Arquette Headed Back To The Big ‘Scream’

Courteney Cox and David Arquette are reportedly ready to battle the Ghostface killer for a fourth time!

According to E! Online’s Marc Malkin, the husband and wife acting duo will reprise their roles in “Scream 4.”

“We are going to be doing ‘Scream 4,’” David told Malkin in New York City on Tuesday, while he campaigned to raise awareness about hunger for Feeding America by spending time in a Plexiglas box atop New York City’s Madison Square Garden marquee.

According to the actor/activist, the entire original creative team could be returning for the fourth fright fest.

“Kevin Williamson is writing the script at this moment, and hopefully Wes Craven is going to direct,” he said.

David said the “Scream” series holds a special place in his heart.

“I fell in love with my wife on ‘Scream,’ so the opportunity to bring [Deputy Dewey Riley] back to life and for my wife to play that really bitchy character again, it’s just going to be really fun,” David said. “It’s just great.”

In the first three installments, Courteney played tabloid television reporter Gale Weathers, who made a career following the murders surrounding Sidney Prescott, played by Neve Campbell. Though Williamson recently said Neve is not on board for another movie, David is still hopeful that she’ll reprise her role.

“I hope Neve does it,” he said. “I really hope so.”

As for details on the movie’s plot, David is keeping mum.

“Kevin has sort of put out the broad strokes,” he said with a laugh. “But I don’t think I’m at liberty to share any of that.”
