Courtney Love Gets Corseted, Auctions Kurt Cobain Memorobilia

LONDON, UK (December 18, 2006) — Rock queen Courtney Love took extreme fashion to the next level this past weekend, getting her corset on at ?Little Britain? star Matt Lucas? wedding in London.With her plump bust spilling over her red, courtly, silk gown, Love turned up to the nuptials of Lucas and his longtime partner, British TV producer Kevin McGee, Sunday night. Before anyone starts throwing arrows at the rocker, she wasn?t the only one in an extreme costume. Lucas, star of the BBC America show, made his wedding a theatrical affair, having dozens of friends and celebrities turning up in Christmas pantomime attire. Elton John came fully outfitted as Captain Hook, with partner David Furnish dressed as Prince Charming. Talk show host and comedian Graham Norton came as a hotel porter while many British celebs who are lesser-known to U.S. audiences came as pirates, fairy godmothers and ugly stepsisters.It was quite a big weekend for Love, who returned to the U.K. last week after a Los Angeles judge ended her probation and dismissed three misdemeanor cases against the singer. Saturday night she hit UNICEF?s Christmas In Fairyland benefit, which also attracted Hugh Grant, Elton John and Sting?s wife, event co-host Trudie Styler. Near the auction?s end, after discovering the children?s fund was falling shy of it?s 500,000 British pounds target, the rocker donated a sweater from her late husband, Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain. The sweater is rumored to have fetched over $120,000. Love?s generosity was rewarded ? Elton John dedicated his performance of ?Tiny Dancer? that evening, to the singer.
