Cowboy Ty Murray Booted From The Ballroom

After making it to the semi-finals following Lil’ Kim’s shocking elimination last week, Ty Murray was finally booted from the “Dancing” ballroom on Tuesday.

The charming rodeo champ, who initially signed up for the celebrity dance show to compete against his wife, Jewel, lasted longer than anyone expected him to, including Ty himself. And as he and professional partner Chelsie Hightower said goodbye to the show, one week shy of the finals, Ty revealed he learned quite a bit.

“I got a whole new respect for what these guys do,” Ty said after learning of his elimination. “It’s so hard… I’ve talked to Chelsie — trying to teach me to dance is like trying to teach a blind guy to see. I don’t understand what makes it look better. I can see that I’m not doing as good as the other people, but I don’t’ really know how to make it better. I just try to remember the steps.”

As for Chelsie, she said she was thrilled that Ty was her first-time “Dancing” partner, and commended him for making it so far.

“I feel so honored to have gotten Ty for my first season,” the pretty blonde said before their last dance. “He’s so down to earth and he’s such a good guy… I could not have asked for a better celebrity. I’m so happy and proud of him. So proud of him.”
