Critics: Lindsay Lohan Flubs Fashion Line Debut

Was Lindsay Lohan’s debut as the creative director of famed fashion line Ungaro fab or flub?

Flub, according to early reports.

Fashion site Women’s Wear Daily panned the line’s Spring/Summer 2010 presentation at Paris Fashion Week on Sunday, a collection comprised mainly of skimpy dresses, plunging necklines and an emphasis on the color pink.

“The collection displayed none of the promised younger side Lohan was supposed to deliver,” the site said, criticizing Lindsay’s “nonskilled” influence on the line’s designer, Estrella Archs. “Being a young, pretty, controversial woman who looks good in clothes and photo ops just isn’t enough.”

Lindsay herself closed the show in a sheer white dress, taking the runway with Estrella.

The star is hoping for better reviews for her next creative effort – she recently wrapped production on the Robert Rodriguez film “Machete,” which co-stars Robert De Niro, Rose McGowan, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez and Danny Trejo in the title role.

The film is slated for an April 16, 2010 release.
