Daddy Warbucks: Richest Fictional Character

NEW YORK (November 22, 2006) ? It looks like Mr. Burns has got nothing on Daddy Warbucks.

Forbes magazine has released its annual list of the 15 richest fictional characters and Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks from “Annie” tops the list at an estimated $36.2 billion.

Mr. Burns from “The Simpsons” is second at $16 billion and Scrooge McDuck ($10.9 billion) edged out Richie Rich ($10.7 billion) for third place.

Rounding out the top five was “Beverly Hillbillies” patriarch Jed Clampett ($7.7 billion).

Also making the list were “Batman’s” Bruce Wayne ($6.8 billion), Thurston Howell III from “Gilligan’s Island” ($2.7 billion), Willy Wonka ($2 billion) and “Scarface” Tony Montana ($1 billion).
