Dakota Fanning Dishes On Adulthood Fame

Dakota Fanning has turned into one classy lady!

The “Twilight Saga” star dished about her transition from a child star to an adult actress in a new interview with Wonderland magazine for the April/May 2012 issue.

The star is seen on the cover of Wonderland draped in a straw hat and a curly up do for the magazine. The editorial, shot by Cedric Buchet, reveals Dakota in a coming-of-age photo spread of doll-like poses with vintage black and white contrast.

The starlet – who first hit the big screen at age 7 alongside Sean Penn and Michelle Pfeiffer in “I Am Sam” — shared with the magazine that her role in the film illuminated her acting ambition at a young age, saying, “For someone who’s that young to feel completely at home being filmed playing someone else, that really means that that’s where you belong.”

It was her acting debut in the film that made her realize her fervor for the big screen.

“I could do this forever,” she recalled.

Dakota is famous for her past child roles in “War of the Worlds”, “Charlotte’s Web” and “Uptown Girls,” but did being a young celebrity really faze her?

“I’ve never really felt like a child star, that name always felt really odd to me. I’ve just felt like I was an actor at 6 and 7 and, you know, a child who happened to act. But when you turn 18 you’re seen as able to do more things and more roles,” she told Wonderland.

Dakota has grown into more adult films over the past years with her roles in “Breaking Dawn” and “The Runaways,” and with another appearance in “Breaking Dawn – Part II” the actress will definitely have some roles to snatch up in accordance to her new adulthood.

Yet while she’s busy being an adult actress, the star shared that she will have no time for some of the normal 18-year-old activities.

“I don’t have a Facebook or Twitter and I won’t ever,” she added.
