Dakota Fanning Gets Inked By Kat Von D

Did Dakota Fanning break her mother’s no tattoo rule when she met Kat Von D on “Lopez Tonight” on Tuesday?

Not quite.

On Tuesday night’s show, the 16-year-old”Runaways” star told late night host George Lopez that she’s a huge fan of “LA Ink’s” Kat, but she made a pledge to her mom that she’d never wind up with any body art.

“I love [Kat]…I just think she is so cool,” Dakota said. “She is so talented and she is such a great artist.

“When I was like 11, [my mom] made me sign a contract and it says, ‘I will not ever get a tattoo,’ and it’s like the little X and a line and I had to sign my name,” Dakota added.

That, however, didn’t stop George from surprising Dakota by bringing out Kat, who was ready to put her artistic stamp on Dakota’s arm – at least temporarily.

Kat took the young actress backstage and drew a cherry bomb tattoo on her arm with colored pens – an ode to her role as rock legend Cherie Currie in her new movie with Kristen Stewart.

“I love it, I really love it,” an overjoyed Dakota said after seeing Kat’s work on her arm. “My mom’s going to love it. My mom loves Kat, despite her making me sign the contract. She loves Kat!”
