Dana Delany On Her Botched Botox

Dana Delany has revealed she was permanently injured when she received Botox a few years ago.

“Something nobody ever talks about is doctor error. Seven years ago, I had never even heard about Botox. My dermatologist was saying, ‘You should try it.’ He injected my forehead, hit a nerve, and created a huge hematoma,” Dana told Prevention magazine’s November 2010 issue. “The nerve has been dead ever since. It affected the muscle in my right eye, so my eye has started to droop a little bit.”

The actress, who is gearing up to star in the latest medical series from producer Shonda Rimes, “Body of Proof,” said that she never went back to the doctor who treated her.

“I stopped going to him right then. Doctors are human — they make mistakes. But I never went back, especially after he wouldn’t own up to it,” she said.

While she admitted to the magazine that plastic surgery is out for her, she did reveal how she stays in shape: yoga and walking.

“I have a treadmill. I don’t run — I walk — and for just a half hour. I’ll watch ‘Nurse Jackie’ while I do it. And I love to dance,” she said. “I was recently in London doing press and the cast from ‘Glee’ was there, and I sort of became an honorary ‘Glee’ member. We all went out dancing at a niughtclub, which was the most fun in the world!
