‘Dancing’: Alfonso Ribeiro On Earning Perfect Score For The Carlton

Alfonso Ribeiro brought back The Carlton dance on Monday’s “Dancing with the Stars” to massive success.

The actor earned perfect scores from all judges (and America!) and told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson he’s happy he got to deliver his famed dance.

“It was time to just give it to America, get it out of the way, get back to this competition without The Carlton kind of hanging over my head,” Alfonso told Shaun after the show. “We had so much fun, the audience loved it.”

Alfonso was impressed with his dance partner’s (Witney Carson) skills on his trademark moves.

“Witney was amazing. How good was she doing it, right?” he said. “It was fun!”

One of Alfonso’s former “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” co-stars was in the “DWTS” audience to cheer him on.

“Tatyana [Ali] came and supported [me] –- that’s my little sister forever,” he said. “She is amazing. She came out, she was there with my wife and my son and it was really nice to have her here.”

Adding, “She’s very supportive.”

The actor also said he’s hopeful his time on “Dancing with the Stars” will lead to more TV and film opportunities in the future.

“I hope so. I look at everything as an individual thing and this has been fun and it’s been awesome and hopefully we go all the way to the end and we get to enjoy it all the way,” he said. “And if those doors open that’s a bonus, [but I’m] not expecting.”
