‘Dancing’ Doll Leaves The Ballroom, ‘Idol’s’ Pia Toscano To Perform Next Week

It wasn’t a good night for the ladies on “Dancing with the Stars” as one of the show’s women made her exit from the ballroom.

Supermodel Petra Nemcova was eliminated on Tuesday’s “DWTS,” alongside her professional partner, Dmitry Chaplin.

While she was sad to say so long – tears welled up in the model’s eyes – she was thankful that she was able to use “Dancing” to promote her charity, Happy Hearts, which helps children rebuild their lives after natural disasters.

“I met amazing friends. Dmitry put up with me for two months,” she laughed. “It’s been a life changing journey for me, but also, so many people got inspired because of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and started to do dance-a-thons at schools to fundraise for Happy Hearts and change lives of so many children around the world.”

Petra and Dmitry were one of three pairs who tied for the bottom of the leaderboard on Monday night. Also landing at the bottom were Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff, and Kendra Wilkinson and Louis van Amstel, but the latter two pairs were saved to carry on another week.

Beyond Petra’s elimination, Tom Bergeron revealed that Pia Toscano, who was recently eliminated on “American Idol,” was coming to the ballroom.

Tom hinted that there had been a collaboration between the two shows, which film on the same lot and had been Tuesday night rivals prior to “Idol’s” move to Wednesday/Thursday, to bring Pia to the stage.

“Thanks to our friends at FOX and ‘American Idol,’ it’s the network return of the sensational Pia Toscano,” he said. “She’ll be singing and it features what promises to be an amazing dance by her close friend, Mark Ballas.”

Mark previously confirmed to Access Hollywood that he and Pia had been dating after being connected by “DWTS” celebrity contender Chris Jericho.

“We kind of we went out with a group and it was a few of us there… it’s where we kind of met and had a little chat and she’s a lovely girl,” Mark said of their first night out. “I was super bummed for her getting eliminated, I thought she was going to win.”

“You said, ‘You can sing really well and you’re hot,’” Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson joked when he first confirmed the dating news.

“I definitely didn’t say that,” Mark explained. “I didn’t say that, but she’s lovely.”

No announcement was made regarding what number Pia would be performing.
