Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars Elimination: Who Went Home?

After losing two male former mirrorball winners last week, “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars” parted ways with one of the celebrity ladies in the competition on Tuesday.

(SPOILER – This story contains the results of Tuesday’s “DWTS.”)

Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas may not have landed at the bottom of the leaderboard on Monday (that spot was earned by Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy), but the young mom and her pro partner were the couple eliminated on Tuesday’s show. (Before the announcement, Kirstie and Maksim were the other couple in the Bottom 2.)

“We made it to Week 4 and I’m happy with that,” Bristol said, reacting to the news. “And I had an awesome time, and an awesome partner and these are just great people and I wish everyone the best of luck.”

Monday was actually a high point for Bristol, who turned out one of her best dances of the season in a rock ‘n’ roll style.

Guest judge Paula Abdul told Bristol of her number, “It looks like you’re starting to have fun,” while Bruno Tonioli said she was “hitting all the steps” on Monday’s show.

The pair’s elimination comes just one week after they bounced back from a Week 3 rehearsal hall spat – their first ever — where Bristol expressed her concerns that Mark was unhappy to have her as a partner.

Aside from the elimination news on Tuesday’s show, the two couples that were at the top of the leaderboard on Monday – Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd, and Shawn Johnson with Derek Hough – were tasked with picking songs and teams for next week’s team freestyle.

Gilles and Peta got the YouTube phenom song “Gangnam Style” for their group and then selected Kelly Monaco with Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Kirstie and Maks and Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke (Gilles’ old partner) to be part of their team.

Shawn and Derek grabbed “Call Me Maybe” and nabbed Sabrina Bryan and Louis van Amstel, Melissa Rycroft with Tony Dovolani, and Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff.

“Dancing with the Stars” continues next Monday night at 8/7c on ABC.
