Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars Premiere – The Stars Speak!

They came, the danced – but which “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars” contestants conquered and which faltered?

Access Hollywood caught up with the “Stars” and their professional partners following Monday’s dazzling two-hour premiere – including the pairs with the two lowest scores and the pairs with the two top scores.

After Pamela Anderson and Tristan MacManus performed the Cha Cha to a disappointing score of 17, the blond bombshell told Access that she knows she has work to do if she’s going to remain in the competition.

“I just need to learn to be a better dancer, so I can support all the stuff that’s going on in my part… in my brain and just, it’s overwhelming,” Pam explained. “I wanna work our butts off next week. We have to stay on. We’ve got such a cool thing [planned.] I really wanna do it. It’s so good.”

Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy also failed to impress the judges with a score of 19 for their foxtrot. Despite a low score, the actress told Access that she adored the crowd’s support in the ballroom.

“The audience was so sweet, so receptive and so wonderful. I wish I could have given them a better score,” she told Access. “There’s next week hopefully, and if there’s next week then I will just have to give them a better score.”

Kirstie said the competition on “All-Stars” is inspiring her and Maks to up their game.

“I’m taking it one week at a time because everyone’s so good… you have to do your very best, you have to get more creative and we have to be better,” she added.

Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd placed second with a score of 24 for their foxtrot and the actor was overjoyed with his performance and scores.

“I’m on cloud nine,” Gilles told Access. “Hopefully there are a couple of people voting for us tonight. That would be so awesome… maybe we can be safe. Hopefully people out there vote because without them, we’re just not gonna last.”

The night’s top couple, Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke, danced away with a score of 24.5 (the premiere saw the judges now able to award half-points in their scores) for their Cha Cha, something the NFL player and “DWTS” Season 3 champ credits to his partner.

“She’s taken my dance level to a whole other level. She has pushed me to what the last three or four seasons have gone to and I’ve had to meet that challenge,” Emmitt told Access, admitting that he had some hesitation about stepping back into the ballroom after being away for so long.

“I have a lot to work on, but I’m willing to go there because I know I have a great partner, great teacher that’s going to push me to that level, to push me to a level of greatness and that’s what I’m trying to get to,” he added.
